Title I Learning Center

The Instructional Department supports student achievement by providing assistance and guidance in curriculum training and implementation, professional development, implementation of state and federal mandates, and school improvement planning.  

Each school develops a school improvement plan to address the needs of their students with appropriate staff development and instruction.  These plans are developed with input from school community stakeholders.  Each plan includes the school's goals, disaggregated student data, a description of the school's community, and action plans with professional development to accomplish the school's goals.  Individual school plans align with the district wide school improvement plan from which academic goals are developed.  The system's goals are aligned with NCLB targets, but a more aggressive language arts/reading goal has been established as reading is the fundamental basis for all learning.
