Bus Rider Rules and Regulations
To insure safety, the driver must be totally in charge. Passengers must respond promptly to instructions given. Keep pens and pencils in pocket or backpack.
The use of tobacco, food, or drink on the bus is prohibited. Animals and oversized objects, as well as glass containers are not permitted.
Passengers must observe classroom conduct. Ordinary conversation is permitted. Horseplay, unruly behavior, abusive and obscene language or gestures is unacceptable. Cell phones, pagers, radios, walkmans, CD players, handheld TVs, handheld games, headphones, comic books, or any items that may disrupt children’s behavior are not allowed.
Keep isles and step well clear at all times. Do not put unwanted trash/paper on the floor between seats.
Never extend any portion of your body out bus windows. Keep hands and feet to yourself at all times. Bottom to bottom, back to back, feet on the floor.
Do not attempt or get off or move about while the bus is in motion. Always remain seated in assigned seat until bus comes to a complete stop.
If you cause damage to the bus, you or your parents/guardians must pay for that damage. You will be suspended from the bus until restitution is made.
Regular schedules must be observed. The bus cannot wait for tardy passengers. Pupils must be on time. Students should be at the bus stop 5 (five) minutes prior to normal bus arrival time.
Wait at assigned bus stop. Never stand in the roadway. You cannot pick and choose your bus stop.
Observe driver’s instructions when boarding/departing the bus. If you cross the street or road, wait for signal from driver and cross well in front of the bus.
Drivers will not unload passengers at places other than the regular stops near their home or at school without proper authorization from the parent and school officials.
Failure to follow these regulations may result in suspension from transportation.
