Parent Calendar Correction on Veterans Day
CMCSS will be closed on Monday, Nov. 10. The calendar that is mailed to students' homes and provided to staff incorrectly designates the school closing date for Veterans Day this year.  School WILL be in session Nov. 11.  The school system’s communication department apologizes for this mistake and will send a system-wide Connect-Ed message out to all employee and student homes to communicate this error.

Early Dismissals
Students will be dismissed two hours early for professional development on the following dates: Sept. 15, Feb. 9 and March 23. The early dismissals are not posted on the teacher’s calendars because the early dismissal for professional development was negotiated after the calendars were distributed to school faculty.

CDE Expo
The Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE Lightband) will be hosting an EXPO this Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The EXPO is for the community and will take place at CDE located at 2021 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

Lowe’s Grant Opportunity

Open Enrollment for Sick Leave Bank
August 1, 2008 through October 31, 2008, employees may enroll in the Sick Leave Bank. For more information on how the Sick Leave Bank works and to download the enrollment form, go to the Employee Benefits page of the school system web-site.
