Registration Information
Enrollment Requirements
- A birth certificate or other proof of date of birth
- Physical Examination and Immunizations
- A complete medical exam for the first-time enrollee is required. Evidence of completed exam must be presented upon registration
- A Social Security card is helpful to the school, as the last four digits are often used for identification purposes for school lunches and other activities
- Proof of custody
- Proof of residence
Age Requirements - According to the State Department of Education, (T.C.A. 49-6-201 (b)(3), "children entering kindergarten shall be five (5) years of age on or before September 30 of the current kindergarten term."
Tennessee State Law also requires that a student going into the first grade must show proof of attendance in an accredited kindergarten program.
